Moog’s Space & Defense Group in Salt Lake City is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their high-production facility specializing in military ground-vehicle turret systems and missile control actuation systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will design manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and components using NX or SolidWorks, develop rapid prototypes with 3D printing and shop tools, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, efficiency, and repeatability. Responsibilities include leading process-improvement projects, supporting production line troubleshooting and maintenance, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating closely with operators and engineering teams. Experience or interest in automation, robotics, machining, and aerospace or defense manufacturing is highly valued, along with familiarity with project management tools like JIRA. This position emphasizes hands-on engagement, cross-functional teamwork, and innovative problem-solving to optimize manufacturing operations.
