Scholarship Committee


Goal: Promotes the Engineering Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund

Application Process – The EAA currently awards two (2) scholarships per year, and the recipients serve as student members on the EAA Board of Directors.

Academic Outreach Committee


Goal: Supports current engineering students

Seminar Series Speakers – Speak on campus to our current students about the engineering industry and careers.
Mentor Program – Pair with current students to encourage their academic and career success.
Career Development – Participate in career events where students learn interviewing and resume-building skills.
Poster/Project Competition Judge – Judge academic competitions held throughout the year on campus.

K-12 Education Outreach Committee


Goal: Promotes engineering literacy and enthusiasm for engineering majors/careers in K-12 students

K-12 Classroom Speakers – Visit a local school and talk about your career as an engineer.
Elementary Engineering Week (annually in March) – Help us host 2,000 middle school students on campus annually in March by leading activities, distributing materials, and coordinating events.

Networking/Social Outreach Committee


Goal: Organizes events and networking opportunities for engineering alumni

Event Hosting – Organize and help host an event for EAA members. Events may range from casual social events for the whole family to formal networking activities in specific industries.
Social Media Administration – Enable, moderate, and lead online discussions using the EAA’s social media channels, which include a large LinkedIn group, a growing Facebook page, and a community on Twitter.
