About the role:

The Engineering Intern is a key piece of our business. As part of our commitment to talent development, we are seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to exciting projects. In this 10-week onsite internship, you will consult with our fabrication manager along with our sales team and customers to build the business through providing outstanding solutions to meet their material and manufacturing needs.

We are looking for a tech-savvy engineer to assist with troubleshooting, programming and estimating the products and services that we offer. The Engineering Intern is responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products’ parts, functions, and processes and assisting to close sales where technical expertise may be required to fit the clients’ needs.

What you’ll do:

Project Support: Collaborate with our fabrication manager to contribute to ongoing projects, providing hands-on assistance and gaining practical experience in mechanical engineering.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant data to support engineering decision-making processes.
Programming and Prototyping: Assist in the programming and prototyping of new products or improvements to existing ones, utilizing engineering tools and software.
Quality Control: Participate in testing and validation processes, ensuring that products meet quality and performance standards and assist in improving the current QC system.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for projects, including design specifications, test plans, and progress reports for communication with the sales team.
Collaboration: Work closely with all functions, including sales, fabrication and warehouse to ensure smooth project execution.

What you’ll need:

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, preferably mechanical.
Strong academic background especially in engineering classes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
CAD software experience a plus

What you’ll get:

Engineering Interns are paid $22/hour
