Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to serve as a PCE Ambassador, students must:
  • Be an enrolled, degree-seeking student in the John & Marcia Price College of Engineering
  • Be in good academic standing with the University of Utah and their academic department
  • Maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Commit to serving for a full academic year (both Fall and Spring semesters)

Compensation & Time Commitment

PCE Ambassadors earn $15.00 per hour while gaining hands-on experience representing the Price College of Engineering through recruitment, outreach, alumni engagement, and college events.

Participation is flexible, allowing ambassadors to build their experience around their academic and personal commitments. There is no minimum number of required weekly hours. Hours vary depending on each ambassador’s level of participation, but ambassadors can typically expect to work approximately five hours per week.

Required Meetings & Events:

Monthly PCE Ambassador Meetings

PCE Ambassador meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00–6:00 PM during the Fall and Spring semesters. Attendance is required for all ambassadors.

PCE Ambassador Retreat

The annual Ambassador Retreat is held on the Saturday before the first day of Fall semester. Ambassadors participate in training, team building, and preparation for the upcoming academic year.

Engineering Day – Fall Semester

All PCE Ambassadors are required to participate in Engineering Day, a large-scale outreach event hosted by the PCE Outreach Team.

Applications will open in December 2026 for PCE Ambassador positions for the Fall 2027—Spring 2027 academic year. If you are interested in joining our team, please check back in early December to apply.
